Ms Ebony Faichney is a graduate Development Horticulturist in the Horticultural Forestry Science team. Following her studies at James Cook University, she was awarded a position with the Queensland Government Greater Graduate Program. Ebony’s broad science degree has seen her gain knowledge in soil properties and processes, sustainability, tropical entomology and hydrology, remote sensing technology, environmental management and climate change. Ebony is enthusiastic about agricultural development to improve sustainability, profitability and production. Her current work is focused on orchard intensification practices and plant training systems, improving cyclone resilience of tropical agriculture and enhancing international exports of Australian mangoes. She is developing her knowledge and experience in the Mango Information project.
