New ACIAR Mango R&D Project to be launched in southern Vietnam

Planning is underway for a new mango research and development project. The ACIAR project Improving smallholder farmer incomes through strategic market development in mango supply chains in southern Vietnam (AGB/2012/061) will officially launch in early September 2018.  

 The researchers, Dr Cameron McConchie, Prof. Robin Roberts and Peter Johnson met to discuss the research and development activities related to mango production, supply chains and trade in Vietnam which are the focus of this project. Three Vietnam government institutions along with the Northern Territory Department of Primary Industries, University of Adelaide and Griffith University.

 The project will be led by Professor Robin Roberts from Griffith Asia Institute and Mr Duc Nigyen from the Vietnamese Government, Sub-Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Postharvest Technology (SIAEP). More news to follow soon.
